Surprisingly, in a new twist, BMW fused an 8-speed automatic transmission to an all-wheel drive train which is the first ever for the luxury M5 sedan.
BMW revealed that the all-wheel-drive system would assist in maintaining the traction and stability control of the vehicle. As well, the 4WD system will also play a major role in the distribution and management of power, that's why the vehicle would be able to throttle up to 0-62 mph (0-100km/hr) in just 3.4 seconds as the company claims.
It has a top speed of 155 mph and a special 189 mph (305 km/hr) on a premium M Driver's package.
