Middle Eastern airline Qatar Airways has set a new record for the longest flight ever in the world, with a flight time of 17 hours and 30 minutes.
According to CNNMoney, the Boeing 777 aircraft departed from Doha, Qatar on Sunday and landed in Auckland, New Zealand on Monday after flying 9,031 miles (14,535 kilometers).

On board the flight also was the Chief Executive of the airline Akbar Al Baker who intimated that the new Auckland service was "an important milestone" in the airline's global expansion.
Previously, Fly Emirateshad set the record of 17 hours and 15 minutes for an 8, 823-mile flight. Now, a new airline has broken that record with an extra 15 minutes.
